CETID follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and addressing any allegations of research or publication misconduct.
All parties involved in the publishing process (authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers) must agree upon standards of ethical behavior. Our policies are designed to ensure the integrity of the scientific record.
Author Responsibilities
Authors bear primary responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their submitted work.
Originality
- Submit only original work not published elsewhere
- Properly cite all sources and avoid plagiarism
- Declare any prior publication of data
- Ensure text originality (no self-plagiarism)
Authorship
- All listed authors made substantial contributions
- No ghost or gift authorship
- All authors approved the final manuscript
- Corresponding author represents all authors
Disclosure
- Declare all conflicts of interest
- Disclose all funding sources
- Report ethical approvals (IRB/ethics committee)
- Include informed consent statements
Data Integrity
- Report methods and results accurately
- No data fabrication or falsification
- Retain raw data for verification
- Correct errors promptly after publication
Reviewer Guidelines
Peer reviewers play a critical role in maintaining scientific quality. We expect all reviewers to uphold these standards.
Timeliness
Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe. Notify the editor immediately if unable to review.
Confidentiality
Treat manuscripts as confidential documents. Do not share or discuss content with others.
Objectivity
Provide unbiased assessment based on scientific merit. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
Conflict Disclosure
Declare any conflicts of interest that may affect objective review. Recuse when appropriate.
Constructive Feedback
Provide detailed, constructive comments that help authors improve their work.
Misconduct Reporting
Alert editors to suspected plagiarism, fraud, or ethical concerns in reviewed manuscripts.
Editor Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for fair, timely, and impartial handling of all manuscripts.
- Fair Evaluation - Judge manuscripts solely on intellectual merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal relationships
- Confidentiality - Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities unless consent is given
- Conflict Management - Recuse from handling manuscripts where personal, financial, or professional conflicts exist
- Timely Decisions - Process manuscripts efficiently and communicate decisions promptly with clear rationale
- Appeals Handling - Consider appeals fairly and follow established procedures for reconsideration
- Misconduct Investigation - Investigate and respond appropriately to allegations of research or publication misconduct
Misconduct Policy
CETID takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and follows COPE guidelines for investigation and response.
Plagiarism
Using others' work, ideas, or words without proper attribution. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.
Data Fabrication
Making up data or results and recording or reporting them as if they were real observations or measurements.
Data Falsification
Manipulating research data, equipment, or processes to change or omit results such that the research is not accurately represented.
Duplicate Submission
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously, or publishing substantially similar work without disclosure.
